Senator CHRIS EVANS(6.01 p.m.) —While we are on the role of the Employment Advocate—talking about the inspectoral role—I ask the parliamentary secretary to comment on whether or not the powers and the role of the inspectorate will be equal to or as wide ranging as the current powers available to the award inspectorates. Obviously, we have serious concerns about the secrecy involved with AWAs and the likely negotiations with a lot of employees without representation. So I am trying to home in on the breadth of those powers, as well as the resources available to them. It might be best dealt with in a later section, in which case I will put that on notice.

Amendments negatived.
