Senator BROWNHILL (Deputy Leader of the National Party of Australia) —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  That the Senate—

  (a)notes:

    (i)the tremendous response Australians have made to the plight of those in Rwanda, especially at a time when so many here at home are suffering,

    (ii)the voluntary work done in Rwanda by Australian volunteers through organisations such as CARE Australia, the Australian Executive Service Overseas Program and by the medical profession, and

    (iii)particularly, the work of the Angels of the Apocalypse, a group of doctors, nurses and support workers, including the Senate's own Dr John Herron; and

  (b)congratulates Senator Herron on his tremendous personal contribution in going to Rwanda at great personal risk and acknowledges and thanks him for his immense contribution to making this world a better place.
