Senator PANIZZA —I claim to have been misrepresented and seek leave to make a personal explanation.

  Leave granted.

Senator PANIZZA —In today's Australian, Tim Stevens wrote that I had criticised the opposition's drought scheme as being counterproductive. He also said that I led mounting criticism of the policy. I did not use the word `counterproductive' in my speech. I refer the Senate to yesterday's Hansard in which the only criticism I made was directed at the Minister for Primary Industries and Energy (Senator Collins) for making fun of the coalition's drought policy. The Hansard speaks for itself. I completely refute any implication that I led any criticism of Mr Anderson's policy. I further refute that I may have had any part in NFF's criticism of the same policy.
