Senator LEES (Deputy Leader of the Australian Democrats) (5.47 p.m.) —I would like to add to what Senator Harradine has been asking. If the minister does not have some precise figures on the numbers of people—she has just given us some idea of the fact that 80 per cent are expected to initially stay on other forms of benefits—can I ask: how was the calculation done, firstly, if she has only estimated the numbers but, secondly, if she has not then allowed for what other benefits people will be on and for any other costs?
