Senator BELL —Pursuant to standing order 78, I give notice that during the giving of notices on the next day of sitting I shall withdraw business of the Senate notice of motion No. 1 standing in my name for tomorrow, 30 June 1994, for the disallowance of rule 30(G) contained in rule 11(1) of the rules of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission amendment. I seek leave to make a short statement of explanation.

  Leave granted.

Senator BELL —I sought to disallow rule 30(G) of rule 11(1) because of disagreements about the interpretation of the section of the Industrial Relations Reform Act which requires publication of notices of the hearings of the AIRC that were to be conducted. Now that the AIRC will not, I understand, be proceeding with that rule in its originally intended form, my notice of motion to disallow becomes redundant.
