—The President has received a letter from Senator Alston proposing that a definite matter of public importance be submitted to the Senate for discussion, namely:
The Government's confusing policy approach to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, leading to a serious loss of morale and lack of sense of direction.
I call upon those senators who approve of the proposed discussion to rise in their places.
