Senator CAMPBELL (10.43 a.m.) —I am going to speak for only a minute because I know that Senator Chapman has some important things to contribute.

Senator Faulkner —That would be a change.

Senator CAMPBELL —Senator Faulkner wanders around the chamber and throws abuse around. It will be interesting to see whether the Acting Deputy President calls him to order. He probably will not. For Senator Faulkner to call Senator Ian Macdonald an environmental vandal is just a joke; it is untrue. But, of course, we know that Senator Faulkner, as the Minister for the Environment, Sport and Territories, or the minister for anything, never allows the truth to get in his way. He will abuse people, including those in the opposition and those in the community, ad nauseam.

We remind Senator Faulkner that whenever he abuses the truth, seeks to misled the people of Australia or abuses our colleagues we will not let him get away with it. We know that Senator Macdonald cares about North Queensland and the people of North Queensland. He does not race off to a luxury jet aircraft when things get a bit hot up there. Senator Macdonald stays up there and does it tough.

  Question resolved in the affirmative.
