Senator Tierney asked the Minister representing the Minister for Administrative Services, upon notice, on 15 March 1994:

  With reference to the fact that on 12 March 1994, Mrs Ros Kelly MP conducted a handing over ceremony of 40 hectares of land at Fame Cove in the Port Stephens area to the NSW State reserve system and that Mrs Kelly was provided with a helicopter to transport her from Port Stephens to the Belmont Airport in order for her to catch a flight to Canberra:

  (1) Under what entitlement was Mrs Kelly provided with a helicopter.

  (2) What was the cost of Mrs Kelly's use of the helicopter.

  (3) Why was it necessary for Mrs Kelly to use a helicopter.

  (4) Who pays for the use of the helicopter.

Senator McMullan —The Minister for Administrative Services has provided the following answer to the honourable senator's question:

  The cost of Mrs Kelly's travel was not borne by the Commonwealth.
