Senator WATSON —by leave—I thank the parliamentary secretary for his request to get further time to obtain additional documents and information and for consultation to take place. I certainly hope that during that interval he will be able to get for the interested senators the necessary documents in relation to the tax implications of the superannuation payments and the likely consequence in terms of the transfer of benefits or whether there is any reduction in entitlements as a result of the sale. As I mentioned earlier, we could really be creating a precedent here in terms of other unfunded liabilities, even where employees are transferred from Commonwealth undertakings in situations where those Commonwealth undertakings are privatised.
