Senator BELL —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  That the Senate—


      (i)with concern, the increasing proportion of Australian school funding which is being provided by private enterprise sponsorship, and

      (ii)that the provision of money in this manner has been made necessary by the failure of many of our State governments to recognise their obligation to provide free compulsory and secular education for all children; and

    (b)calls on the Government to establish procedures which guarantee that the States will be obliged to adequately fund Australia's schools.
