Senator SPINDLER (8.20 p.m.) —I understand that the minister is saying that the warrant form which is going to be used and which is going to be given to the occupier would contain an enumeration of these rights. If the minister gives this undertaking in the chamber that this will be so then I happily agree that the amendment is redundant. Before I ask the minister to confirm that, I should say that we have had correspondence from the Law Society of New South Wales—hardly a radical body—which strongly supports this particular amendment. I believe it has been in force in New South Wales.

Senator Bolkus —I can give that undertaking. In those circumstances maybe we should not continue with this amendment.

  Amendment—by leave—withdrawn.
