Senator BROWNHILL —I rise to associate myself with the condolence motion moved by Senator Button for the Hon. Robert Katter. Ten times elected as the member for Kennedy and once to heaven, which is surely where he is now because he would be one of the people first elected to that area.

If ever there was a member of this Parliament who could be called `Hail Fellow, Well Met', Bob Katter was that member. He was a tireless worker for his electorate and for the people of the Australian traditional outback. He played a formidable part in the establishment of the Australian Stockmen's Hall of Fame. This man, a traditionalist for the outback, will be missed by this Parliament. We are all the poorer for his passing. I share with the family the loss they feel at this stage and extend the sympathy of all the National Party people in New South Wales to Joy and the family.
