Senator VIGOR(6.33) —I point out that we will have four days, including the weekend, to consider these papers. They are very late in being brought before the Senate, as are the Appropriation Bills. Although we support the motion, it has to be put on the public record that the Senate's process of reviewing expenditure is not being taken seriously by the Government if we are expected to look effectively at matters in such a timescale. Future governments putting forward this type of proposal should not put us under such strain.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
