Senator GRIMES (Minister for Community Services)(10.57) —The revenue to date to Consolidated Revenue from the sale of properties is $4.6m and there is negotiated for settlement $13.5m, which is a total of $18.1m. That is out of an amount of $100m. I think that is not doing too badly-certainly better than last year. I did not hear all the honourable senator's questions, but I understand that he was asking about automatic data processing acquisitions.

Senator McIntosh —Do you want him to repeat it?

Senator GRIMES —No, I do not want him to repeat it. I understand that there is a major purchasing branch in the Department which is responsible for major ADP acquisitions. Is that all the honourable senator wanted to know-whether there is such a branch?

Senator Vigor —No, it was not. It was basically whether there is any specialised knowledge on the computing and software area to try and help that.

Senator GRIMES —Yes, there is, and it monitors all the departmental strategic plans.

Proposed expenditure agreed to.
