Senator GRIMES (Minister for Community Services)(9.13) —I am told that the dry docking of HMAS Success is routine. The ship was delivered, it had a shake down cruise and it routinely comes into dry dock and bits and pieces on it are fixed up. I do not have sufficient detail on the second matter raised but I am informed that the Navy has always used some civilian aircraft in support. The study `Hire of aircraft by Defence-study for Senate Estimates Committee E' that the honourable senator referred to is not complete. I assume that the Minister for Defence (Mr Beazley) and the Department will await the completion of that study before final decisions are made, but I will refer the whole matter to the Minister and get a proper answer.
