Senator RYAN (Minister for Education)(8.12) —(Quorum formed) I am afraid Senator Puplick is destined for disappointment, despite his most loquacious account of all of the difficulties he has encountered in trying to establish where we are with duty-free shopping. I really have very little to add to what I told him, on advice, before the dinner break, which was that the matter is still under consideration. I am informed that the Minister for Aviation (Mr Peter Morris), the Minister for Industry, Technology and Commerce (Senator Button) and the Minister for Sport, Recreation and Tourism (Mr John Brown) currently have this matter under consideration. I will seek their further advice and inform the honourable senator accordingly.
