Senator WALSH (Minister for Finance)(9.12) —I was prevented, because of other duties, from hearing the second reading debate but I understand that a number of amendments have been proposed by Senator Collard, one of which will be replaced by a Government amendment covering the same matter but it will incorporate some consequential amendments as well. There are some further amendments of which Senator Collard has given notice which will not be accepted by the Government. I thank those who have participated in the debate and wish the Wheat Marketing Amendment Bill 1985 a speedy passage.

Question resolved in the affirmative.

Bill read a second time.
