Senator Reid-I move, Mr Deputy President, in relation to two of the papers, that they be listed for General Business on Thursday of this week.

The DEPUTY PRESIDENT —It is not necessary. If no motion is moved regarding them, the honourable senator may bring them up in General Business on Thursday without such a motion.

Senator Chaney-I take a point of order, Mr Deputy President. The system here is not very sensible. Nothing is shown on the notices before us for Thursday or Friday as to what is there. I believe that, if honourable senators wish to move that the papers be taken note of, that is a very appropriate course.

Motion (by Senator Reid)-by leave-agreed to:

That papers No. 9 and No. 30 be taken note of and be listed for General Business on Thursday of this week.
