To the Honourable the President and members of the Senate in Parliament assembled. The petition of the undersigned respectfully showeth:

That indirect taxes such as sales tax inflate prices, reduce sales, and hence restrict employment opportunities; that land value taxes stimulate the effective use of sites.

Your petitioners therefore humbly pray that the Parliament of Australia will carefully consider the desirability of replacing indirect taxes by a land value tax in order to stimulate Australia's economy.

And your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray.
