Senator ELSTOB —My question is directed to the Minister representing the Minister for Health. It refers to the recent report released by the Australian Medical Association which has highlighted disturbing trends in the area of teenage health. As the findings of this report were well highlighted some three years ago in the Department of Health report 'Health Needs of Adolescents', can the Minister advise whether the present Government has any specific plans to address substantially the health needs of young people?

Senator GRIMES —I am afraid I am not aware of the specific report mentioned by Senator Elstob. I do remember a newspaper article referring to the New South Wales Branch of the Australian Medical Association having put out such a report but I do not personally recall its findings. I will seek the details from the Minister for Health and get Senator Elstob a complete answer.
