Mr Dutton asked the Minister for Finance and Deregulation, in writing, on 26 May 2008:

(1)   What decisions were too late for inclusion in the individual agency Budget estimates and were instead included in the Contingency Reserve of the 2008-09 Budget (Budget Paper 1, page 6-46).

(2)   What is the effect on the Budget and forward estimates of economic parameter revisions received late in the Budget process, and which were not available to be allocated to individual agencies or functions (Budget Paper 1, page 6-46).

(3)   What is the provision in the Contingency Reserve of the Budget for future increases in Australia’s official development assistance not yet allocated to specific aid programs (Budget Paper 1, page 6-47).
