Mr Pearce
asked the Minister for Tourism, in writing, on 11 March 2008:
How many departmental staff (including permanent, temporary and casual staff) work in the Minister’s Parliament House office, and that of any other Minister and Parliamentary Secretary associated with the Minister’s portfolio; and what is their length of service in the office.

— The answer to the honourable member’s question is as follows:
As at 20 March 2008, there are 2 Departmental Liaison Officers employed in the Minister’s office. One since 4 December 2007, and one since 15 February 2008.
Please note that this question has also been asked of the Minister in his role as the Minister for Resources and Energy, (Question 24), and should therefore be taken as a whole of portfolio response.
