(1)   The department uses recruitment agencies to provide administrative support to DFAT selection processes. Costs based on financial year expenditure are as follows: 2001/02 - $69,267.33 2002/03 - $119,530.60 2003/04 - $134,114.24 2004/05 - $136,165.81 This does not include the fees paid to recruitment agencies for the provision of non-ongoing (temporary) staff and contractors as compiling these figures would involve an unreasonable diversion of resources.
