Mr Bowen asked the Minister for Industry, Tourism and Resources, in writing, on 23 May 2005:

(1)   In respect of the allocation of $2 million over three years in the 2005-2006 Budget for the ‘Small Business Collective Bargaining Campaign’, what sum has been for allocated for advertising.

(2)   What key performance indicators and other measures have been set to measure the success of the program.


Mr Ian Macfarlane (Minister for Industry, Tourism and Resources) —The answer to the honourable member’s question is as follows:

(1)   This education campaign is still in development and will not be finalised until the amendments to the Trade Practices Act 1974 are passed through Parliament. The information tools are still to be finalised. These may or may not include advertising.

(2)   This education campaign is still in the development phase and performance indicators have not yet been developed.
