Mr Rudd asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs, in writing, on 17 March 2005:

(1)   How many transcripts of radio interviews, comments on radio and radio talkback involving the Member for Griffith did his office purchase during the 40th Parliament.

(2)   How many audio tapes, CDs or electronic files of radio interviews, comments on radio and radio talkback involving the Member for Griffith did the Foreign Minister’s office purchase during the 40th Parliament.

(3)   Which radio interviews, comments on radio and radio talkback were they.

(4)   What sum was spent (a) in total, (b) on each tape, and (c) on each transcript.


Mr Downer (Minister for Foreign Affairs) —The answer to the honourable member’s question is as follows:

During the 40th Parliament:

(1)   Transcripts of interviews involving the Member for Griffith are not listed separately in the department’s electronic payment records.
