Mr McClelland

(1) Is the Minister aware of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute Report dated 19 April 2005 titled Future Unknown: The Terrorist Threat to Australian Maritime Security.
(2) Will the Minister’s Department implement any of the recommendations contained in the report; if so, which ones.
Mr Ruddock (Attorney-General)
—The answer to the honourable member’s question is as follows:
(1) Yes.
(2) The Government is committed to the continual improvement of Australia’s maritime security and is carefully considering the recommendations in the ASPI report.
