Mr ANDERSON (Minister for Transport and Regional Services) (4:44 PM) —Mr Speaker, I seek the indulgence of the chair to add to an answer.

The SPEAKER —The minister may proceed.

Mr ANDERSON —Following question time and in response to a question from the member for Wills, I have had the opportunity to make further inquiries in relation to that question I was asked. I am informed that my department raised with the parliamentary secretary the possibility of me handling the A2 milk application. In the circumstances and given that Mr Crooke had terminated his consultancy with A2, and had done so in writing before taking up his appointment as assistant adviser, the parliamentary secretary wrote back to the department to advise them of the circumstances, and as there was no conflict of interest she was in a position to make the decision.
