The SPEAKER —I have received a letter from the honorable member for Wills proposing that a definite matter of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion, namely:

The Government's decision to defund Environment Co-operative Research Centres including the CRC for the Great Barrier Reef, the CRC for Tropical Rainforest Ecology and the CRC for the Coastal Zone

I call upon those members who approve of the proposed discussion to rise in their places.
