The SPEAKER (9:06 AM)
—Let me confirm that the authorised assembly area remains as I have indicated. Yes, it is the grassed area between Parliament House and Old Parliament House. As for the arrangements for self-drive vehicles, I think you would be well advised to be parked by 9 a.m. I understand there will still be access because you are a pass holder, but my advice is that you would be well advised to be parked by 9 a.m. in order to minimise congestion and for security reasons. I have overlooked one of the points.
Mr Latham
—The tighter security arrangements.
The SPEAKER
—I respectfully refer the member for Werriwa to my statement, which outlines that the heightened security applies particularly on the 23rd. The arrangements for President Hu apply more in the chamber. Look closely to my statement, where that detail is given.
