Mr IAN MACFARLANE (Minister for Industry, Tourism and Resources) (3:34 PM)
—Mr Speaker, I seek the indulgence of the chair to add to an answer.
The SPEAKER
—The minister may add to an answer; he does not need permission.
Mr IAN MACFARLANE
—I was asked a question by the member for Kalgoorlie with regard to alternative policies in Western Australia of the Labor opposition. I will add to that answer by saying that the shadow minister not only said, as I said he said, in an article in the Australian that it was not in Australia's best interest to export gas from Barrow Island but went on to say in the same article that not one of the groups in Australia developing and marketing Australia's gas reserves was seriously marketing domestically or committed. I table the document.
