To the Honourable the Speaker and members of the House of Representatives assembled in Parliament:

The humble petition of certain citizens of Australia, residents of the Murrayville/Underbool region in the state of Victoria, showeth:

We are disadvantaged by, not only not having access to any Victorian free-to-air televised news programs, but that the reception of the programs we do receive, via South Australia, are so distorted they are often difficult to view. We have the additional problem, during daylight saving time, of receiving these programs, including Impaja, one and a half hours later in Victoria.

Your petitioners therefore:

Request the House to investigate any commercial or technological means possible to resolve this matter, to enable the news and entertainment deprived residents of North West Victoria access to what the majority of Australians take for granted.

by Mr Forrest (from 291 citizens)
