Mr CREAN (2:06 PM) —My question is to the Prime Minister. It follows the answer he gave to my earlier question. Given the seriousness of this issue which goes to the leaking of classified information, I refer him to the specific quote in the Financial Review where Senator Macdonald acknowledged that information—not material, Prime Minister—about the contents of the classified report `had been provided to me'. Prime Minister, given that you have denied providing that information, will you inform the House what classified information was provided to Senator Macdonald and by whom?

Mr HOWARD (Prime Minister) —I have answered the first question, and I do not have anything to add in relation to that. He has asked me what classified information was provided; I think he ought to ask Senator Macdonald that.
