The SPEAKER —Before I call on the MPI, I point out to members who may be concerned that—and this relates to a matter raised in question time—had the MPI been directed in the way in which it were framed to a specific individual, it would have been out of order. It is not out of order in the way in which it is framed, being directed to a group. I have received a letter from the honourable member for Lilley proposing that a definite matter of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion, namely:

The double standards of the Government in protecting the interests of their wealthy mates while Australian families struggle.

I call upon those members who approve of the proposed discussion to rise in their places.

More than the number of members required by the standing orders having risen in their places—
