Mr Murphy asked the Minister for Transport and Regional Services, upon notice, on 13 February 2002:

(1) Further to the answer to part (4) of question No 2667 (Hansard, 20 August 2001, page 29811), did the LTOP road show video stipulate whether there would be any expiry date for the validity of its statement that 40% of the aircraft will be propellers which use a different path to jets.

(2) Approximately how many people viewed the video at each of the six road show presentations.

(3) Further to the answer to part (5) of question No 2667, why (a) will he not produce a copy of the LTOP road show video or its transcript and (b) has it not been possible to readily locate the requested information.

(4) Is the LTOP road show video of crucial importance to the public because future flight path and runway usages make it unlikely that full implementation of LTOP, as advertised, would or could ever be achieved in a growing airport situation.

(5) Will he immediately locate the LTOP road show video and related transcripts.

(6) What period of time elapsed between the public screenings of the LTOP road show video and the Governments announcement that it intended to relocate regional aircraft away from Sydney Airport.

(7) When and how was the public advised of subsequent departures from the LTOP plan that were advertised in the LTOP road show video.

(8) Did the Government have prior knowledge that it would not be able to honour the LTOP promises which were advertised in the LTOP road show video.

Mr Anderson (Minister for Transport and Regional Services) —The answer to the honourable member's question is as follows:

(1) (4),(7)&(8) I understand that the proposals presented in the LTOP road show video were in draft form and that the point of the consultative meetings was to allow feedback on the presentation for consideration and ultimately inclusion in the LTOP report and the Department of Transport and Regional Services' Proponent Statement.

(2) The following are the locations and approximate attendances at the six public meetings:

Willoughby Civic Centre 350

Marrickville Town Hall 350

Randwick Town Hall 900

Drummoyne Civic Hall 300

South Hurstville RSL Club 250

Cronulla Leagues Club 450

(3) I refer the Honourable Member to the answer to part (5) of question No 2667.

(5) See my answer to question 3.

(6) There has been no announcement by the Government to relocate regional aircraft away from Sydney Airport.
