To the Honourable Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives assembled in Parliament:

This petition of certain citizens of the Federal Electorate of Chifley draws to the attention of the House the fact that some $2.2 billion is to be spent on the Pacific Highway upgrade without the imposition of a toll and in contrast, there is a refusal to fully fund the $1.25 billion Western Sydney Orbital.

The government's decision to burden Western Sydney motorists with a toll of between $5 and $7 will add significant hardship for those hit hardest by soaring petrol prices and cost of living increases.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to take steps to ensure that the Western Sydney Orbital is toll free, thus relieving Western Sydney motorists of additional burden.
