Mr HORNE (3:35 PM) —Mr Speaker, I wish to make a personal explanation.


Mr SPEAKER —Does the honourable member claim to have been misrepresented?


Mr HORNE —Yes, most grievously.


Mr SPEAKER —The member for Paterson may proceed.


Mr HORNE —During question time, the Prime Minister claimed, in response to a question from the member for Calare, that he invited community leaders to functions when he visited an electorate. On his recent visit to Maitland to open a taxpayer funded basketball court—


Mr SPEAKER —The member for Paterson must indicate where he personally has been misrepresented.


Mr HORNE —The point is that the Prime Minister did not invite the federal member, the state member, the deputy mayor or a former mayor.


Mr SPEAKER —The member for Paterson will resume his seat! That is an abuse of a personal explanation. If the member for Paterson is confused about personal explanations, I will happily give him an opportunity to discuss it with me in my office.
