Mr REITH (Leader of the House) —Mr Speaker, as you know, one of my many onerous chores is to table papers!

Opposition members interjecting—


Mr SPEAKER —Member for Lalor! The Leader of the House has done nothing more than engage in a good-natured exchange, which once again has been misrepresented.


Mr REITH —I may well have been misrepresented, but I was not going to seek leave to make a personal explanation! Papers are tabled as listed in the schedule circulated to honourable members. Details of the papers will be recorded in the Votes and Proceedings.

Motion (by Mr Reith) proposed:

That the House take note of the following paper:

Department of Finance and Administration: Service charters in the Australian Public ServiceReport for 1999-2000.
