asked the Minister for Finance and Administration, upon notice, on 23 August 1999:
Has the Sydney Airport Corporation made payments to organisations or individuals since 1997 for the purposes of (a) media lobbying and (b) membership of tourism-related associations; if so, what was the size and purpose of the payment in each case.

—The answer to the honourable member's question is as follows:
No payments have been made for the purpose of media lobbying by the Sydney Airports Corporation Limited since its inception on 1 July 1998.
The Sydney Airports Corporation Limited is a member of the following tourism-related organisations:-
1. Tourism Council Australia
2. Tourism Taskforce
3. Sydney Visitors and Convention Bureau
4. The State Chamber of Commerce
5. St George and Botany Business Enterprise Centres
Additionally, the Sydney Airports Corporation Limited supports, through donations and sponsorship, the following organisations:-
1. The Sydney Children's Hospital
2. The Sydney Youth Orchestra
3. Childflight
4. The NSW Institute of Sport
5. Handicapped Children's Centre, NSW
