Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER (Mr Jenkins)
—The Speaker has received a letter from the honourable member for Jagajaga proposing that a definite matter of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion, namely:
The failure of the government to establish a Royal Commission into the leaking of the decision to extend Medicare rebates to Magnetic Resonance Imaging units under contract on the night of the 1998 budget.
I call upon those members who approve of the proposed discussion to rise in their places.
More than the number of members required by the standing orders having risen in their places—
Motion (by Mrs Sullivan) agreed to:
That the business of the day be called on.
