Ms GAMBARO —Following on from the member for Port Adelaide, I would like to continue on a sporting note.

Congratulations must also go to Lleyton Hewitt and Wayne Arthurs for their wonderful victories in the Davis Cup semifinals in Brisbane, before a record crowd of 11,000 people yesterday at the ANZ Stadium. It is the first time since 1990 that the Davis Cup has been held in Brisbane, and Lleyton Hewitt's outstanding victory against the world No. 2 deserves special mention, as does the Davis Cup final, which will be held in France.

Wayne Arthurs also deserves special mention for his outstanding achievements in beating Safin. John Newcombe certainly has a very difficult task ahead of him in choosing the people who will be in the finals.

I would like to wish Pat Rafter, who is a Brisbane person, a speedy recovery, and I would like to acknowledge the wonderful work done by the Coops Tennis Centre in my electorate in Carseldine, particularly their outstanding work with the development of youth and tennis and in producing past and present champions in the world of tennis.
