Dr WOOLDRIDGE (Health and Aged Care) (3:13 PM)
—The member for Fowler earlier asked me a detailed question on some grants in her electorate. I have been advised during question time that there were a number of applications from her electorate. They were knocked out by the New South Wales reference group. That reference group was chaired by the New South Wales state government Department of Health.
The second point that I would make is that there were queries thrown across the table as to why in the first round the group in her electorate got only $75,000. The answer is that that is all they asked for. The third point that I would make is that if you do a quick calculation on the funding that the Prime Minister announced to New South Wales last week, because many drug and alcohol rehab services are in inner city areas, in fact over 90 per cent of the funding went to Labor seats.
