To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives assembled in Parliament:
The petition of the citizens in Gladstone draws to the attention of the House our strongest support for the establishment of an aged nursing care facility in Gladstone.
In Gladstone the number of elderly is ever increasing and it is unjust that they should be forced to leave their home town, family and friends in search of care in an adequate nursing facility which will meet their specific needs.
We the undersigned respectfully ask the House of Representatives to urgently support the building of a nursing facility to cater to the Senior Citizens of Gladstone as a matter of urgency.
