Mr McClelland asked the Minister representing the Minister for Regional Services, Territories and Local Government, upon notice, on 2 December 1998:

What sums were allocated in local government financial assistance grants in (a) 1995-96, (b) 1996-97 and (c) 1997-98 to the (i) City of Rockdale, (ii) City of Hurstville and (iii) Municipality of Kogarah.


Mr Anderson (Deputy Prime Minister) —The Minister for Regional Services, Territories and Local Government has provided the following answer to the honourable member's question:

The actual entitlement to local government financial assistance grants (including identified road funding) for the three councils as determined by the independent NSW Local Government Grants Commission for the three years 1995-96 to 1997-98 is as follows:
