Mr REITH (Workplace Relations and Small Business) (7:05 PM) —Mr Deputy Speaker, I seek your indulgence.

Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER (Mr Nehl) —Induglence granted.

Mr REITH —Given the time, and after agreement between the two whips, it has been agreed that for the convenience of the House we will commence the adjournment debate immediately. We will run the adjournment for half an hour and then break a bit earlier tonight.

Mr Melham interjecting

Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER —The member for Banks, we all know you are back; you do not have to reinforce it.

Mr REITH —It is not appropriate for the member for Banks to question any agreement that I have with the Chief Opposition Whip.
