To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives assembled in Parliament:
I strongly oppose construction of a nuclear reactor and/or nuclear waste reprocessing plant in Sydney. Nuclear activity generates radioactive emissions and radioactive waste for which Australia has no repository. A nuclear accident has implications for all of Sydney. Such facilities should not be located in Australia's largest city.
Your petitioners pray that the House will join them in opposing increased nuclear activity in Sydney.
