Mr ROSS CAMERON —Mr Speaker, I recall that the member for Calwell has twice risen to his feet in reliance on standing order 44. My understanding is that, if you wrongly rely on standing order 44, you incur an automatic expulsion from the House for 24 hours. I suggest that may be in the interests of the House.

Mr SPEAKER —I do not think this is the appropriate time to examine details. The honourable member for Calwell had a concern. I do not know that his analysis of the standing orders was necessarily accurate and that is why I did not uphold his point of order.
