Mr McClelland
asked the Minister for Family Services, upon notice, on 17 June 1997:
(1) Was the Carss Park Out of School Hours Care Service promised funding; if so, for what period.
(2) What sum has the service received.
(3) Will the service receive the balance of the promised funding.
Mrs Moylan
—The answer to the honourable member's question is as follows:
(1) The Carss Park Outside School Hours Care Service was approved for funding on 30 September 1996. This approval is ongoing.
(2) To 30 June 1997 the service has received $32,547 in Operational Subsidy, Childcare Assistance, Establishment, Equipment and Set-up grants.
(3) The service will continue to receive funding under the present arrangements until the new School Age Care funding arrangements announced in the 1997 Budget are implemented.
