Mr CREAN —My question is directed to the Minister for Veterans' Affairs. I refer to the minister's question time response that his TA and charter claims were made `in good faith and in the spirit of the guidelines'—later changed to `no deliberate or systemic error'. Has the minister checked his travel records and have these checks revealed any further errors? Will the minister now table his travel records for the second half of 1996-97? Will he also table a complete list of his charter flights in 1996-97, including any charged to departments other than DAS?

Mr BRUCE SCOTT —In the last few days the opposition, via the media, have thrown at me allegation after allegation. They have tried to smear my name by innuendo without any basis. They have been on a fishing trip and they have found nothing. I have answered more than 25 questions which have found nothing for the opposition. I will continue to answer your questions, but if you have got an allegation, why don't you make that allegation and come up front with it? At the same time, why don't you say it out of the privilege of parliament? I have got nothing to hide.

Through your briefing of the media yesterday you started to bring a third party into it—an innocent person, a good ordinary person, a person I have used as a commercial pilot on four or five occasions. He is a commercial pilot. You know from my statement prior to question time that there is nothing in it. If you have got an allegation, make it, come up front with it, come out with it.
