Mr PRICE
—Mr Speaker, can you confirm that you have dispensed with the services of your senior adviser and that he has been replaced by Mr Hugh Logue, formerly an adviser to the Leader of the House? Does such a change in the staffing of your office constitute a significant derogation of the independence of your office from the executive or is it merely the perception of the loss of independence? Will you provide the House with a full explanation of the termination of the services of your adviser and the hiring of the new adviser?
Mr SPEAKER
—I thank the honourable member. There is a press release on the subject of the staffing arrangements in my office. No further discussion or debate will be entered into.
