Mr ALBANESE
—I rise for a few seconds to note that today is the national day of Italy and to pass on my congratulations to all those Italian-Australians who have made such a great contribution to this nation. There was, of course, an Italian on the First Fleet and since then Italians have made a great contribution in areas such as Leichhardt in my electorate, Five Dock, Ashfield, and Carlton in Melbourne. It was my pleasure to represent the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Beazley) at the COASIT Ball.
Mr SPEAKER
—Order! It being 2 p.m., in accordance with standing order 106A, the time for member's statements has concluded.
